Deep River has established itself as a home for all seasons! It
has so many activities and events to keep you entertained all year
long.
If you’re a winter lover, we’ve got the Mount Martin Ski Club
which is home to 12 runs and is patrolled by the Canadian Ski
Patrol during day and night skiing. For information on the Ski Club
please contact the MMSC at info@mountmartin.ca We also have
17 kilometers of groomed cross country ski trails on the east end
of town available to those who are interested.
If skiing is not your style the North Renfrew Snowmobile
Corporation grooms and maintains 150 kilometers of beautiful,
well-signed trails through wooded areas all along the Valley
starting at Chalk River, and making it’s way through to
Stonecliffe. The NRSC comprises of two snowmobile clubs; The
Laurentian Snow Gliders and the Valley Snow Travelers, each of whom
have their own chalet.
In the summer, we have 2 beautiful beaches, Lamure Beach and
Pine Point beach. Lamure is lifeguard patrolled during the day and
offers many interactive activities during the weeks of summer.
For the avid golfers, we have a 9-hole golf course that offers a
par of 72 over 18 holes including 2 water holes. For tee-off times

For boaters, Deep River is conveniently located along the
historic Ottawa River which is home to more than a handful of
natural sandy beaches along the Quebec side of the River. Many
beaches are maintained by the River Recreation Improvement
Association and are provided with picnic tables and toilet
facilities. These beaches offer ideal camping locations for beach
lovers and a perfect opportunity to barbeque on the beach after a
long day fishing, waterskiing, sightseeing or leisure boating!
If you’re traveling on the river the Deep River Marina is a
gateway to more than 400 kilometers of the Ottawa River waterways.
The marina offers slips to accommodate over 90 boats, as well as
visitor slip rentals and boat launching. Downtown is within 2
minutes walking distance. For Marina information call 584-2000 or

The Yacht & Tennis Club, which is located next to the
marina, operates 6 courts which are open and operating from
May-October.
Deep River is also home to many other extracurriculars including
an annual cross river swim, 6x1 relay race, triathlon, 1/3 marathon
and 6km run, public skating and swimming, bowling, sailing,
Summerfest on alternating years, and so much more!
